Before you send it
- Read every line. It is a draft, not a signature. As the terms say, you are the sender, and the one who defends it in the interview.
- Check every claim against your CV. It is told never to invent experience, and confirming takes thirty seconds.
- Cut anything that is not you. A shorter letter that sounds like you beats one that sounds like a template.
- One page. Any longer, and the three examples are each doing too much.

Which plan is it on?

How many letters can I write?
Each letter uses 1 AI action, and On the Move comes with 50 a month. If you use them all, it still gives you a letter laid out from our standard guidance, with the three examples for you to fill in from your CV.
Will it make things up?
It is told to use only experience that appears in your CV, and to leave out anything the ad asks for that your CV does not show. Read it against your CV anyway: you are the one who sends it, and the one who talks about it in the interview.
Where does my CV go?
Your CV is kept in your Documents. When you press Write, its text, the ad, the job title, the employer and your reason go to Anthropic to write the draft, and nothing else. The details are on the privacy page.
Why does it open with "Kia ora"?
Because that is how many New Zealand letters open now, and "Ngā mihi" how they close, in place of "Dear Sir/Madam" and "Yours faithfully". If you would rather not, change the first and last lines before you copy it.
