Job boards we work with
Seek, LinkedIn, Indeed, Student Job Search and ZEIL, plus company careers pages. jobtracker.co.nz sits over the top of all of them, so every application you make is in one place, whichever board it came from.
You are never tied to one board. We list no jobs of our own; we keep your side of the hunt.
How saving works on each
The same press on every board: the extension or the bookmark reads the ad on your screen, and the app shows you what it found before anything is saved.
Seek
seek.co.nzReads the parts Seek labels on every ad: the title, employer, place, work type, category and listed date, the listing number from the address, and the whole ad.
LinkedIn
linkedin.comOpens the folded "see more" part of the ad first, then reads the title and employer from the top of the job, the job's number from the address, and the whole ad.
Indeed
indeed.comReads the whole ad from Indeed's description box, and the title, employer and place where the page publishes them as job data. Anything missing, you fill in when you check it.
Student Job Search
sjs.co.nzPuts each part the page labels into its own field: title, employer, place, pay, kind of work, hours a week, the role, and the listed and closing dates, then the ad on its own.
ZEIL
zeil.comReads the job data the page publishes and the ad's text, and files the job's source as ZEIL from the address.
Company careers pages
an employer's own siteWhere the page publishes standard job data, as many do for search engines, the title, employer, place, pay and closing date come across with the ad. Where it does not, the title, link and ad's text still do.
Hiring systems
the system behind a careers pageThe same reading as a careers page. For the common hiring systems, the job's source is set to Company website for you, from the address.
Anywhere else
any page with a job on itThe title and the link always come across, with the largest block of text as the ad. A job someone texts you, or an ad in a PDF, goes in with + Add job in the app.
On every board: pay read from the ad's words is shown ticked for you to untick, nothing is saved until you press Add it, and the same ad pressed twice is recognised rather than added twice. The details are on Save jobs in one press.
One place, not tied to any board
Most people search on two or three boards at once. Each one only knows about the jobs you applied for through it.
- Every application togetherSeek, LinkedIn and a careers page side by side, at their stage, with what you sent and when.
- The ad stays when the listing goesThe whole ad and its reference are kept with the job, after the board takes it down.
- Search wherever you likeSwitch boards, or use all five. Your record of the hunt does not move.
- Nothing to sell an employerWe list no jobs, and no employer or board pays us to put a job in front of you.
The extension or the bookmark
Both read the same things from the same ad, on a computer. On a phone, use + Add job in the app with the link and the ad.
The Chrome extension
A button in your toolbar, in Chrome and Edge, with a panel that shows what it found before it opens the app. Two presses to install.
Add to Chrome, freeThe bookmark
A button on your bookmarks bar, in any desktop browser, Firefox and Safari included. Nothing to install: drag it up once.
Get the bookmarkWhat "works with" means
- Our tools read the ad on your screen when you press them, one page at a time, in your browser. That is all "works with" means.
- No partnership with any board. None of these boards endorses jobtracker.co.nz, and we show none of their logos.
- Our server never visits a job site. We never crawl or scrape listings; the reading happens on your computer.
- A board that changes its pages can change what comes across. Tell us at contact@jobtracker.co.nz and we fix the reading.
