Help us find out

The State of the NZ Job Hunt

Nobody has ever published what job hunting in New Zealand is actually like. How many applications it really takes, how often people hear nothing back, how many ads hide the pay. Twelve questions, three or four minutes, and we will publish every answer.

Nothing here identifies you. No sign-up, no account, and every question except the first is optional. If you give us an email at the end it is stored separately from your answers, so nobody here can connect the two.

Your email is never linked to your answers, never sold, never shared. They are stored separately on purpose, so nobody here can connect the two. That is the covenant.

What happens to this

We publish the results in full, with the number of respondents beside every figure, and no statistic based on fewer than 30 people. The raw counts stay ours; the findings are everybody’s. If the numbers are unflattering to us, we publish those too.
