A timesheet app for builders and tradies: hours by site and job
Your crew logs the day on their own phones: start, finish, break, the job and the task. You see every hour they share on one page, by job and by person, instead of collecting paper sheets from the ute on a Friday.
$6.99 a seat a month, or $59.88 a year. GST included, at least 3 seats.

How hours get logged on site
Each person logs their own day, on the phone they already carry. They type the start, the finish and the break, or start a timer when they arrive and stop it when they leave. Copy last week fills a regular week in one press. Installed on the home screen, it works with no signal and syncs later, so a basement or a rural section is no problem.
They pick the job and the task from your list, so hours land against Hillcrest Road framing rather than "site". When a week is marked sent and someone changes an entry afterwards, the Team page shows the change and its date. There is no approval step to chase.
Your foreman or site manager can see the Team page too. Every manager takes a seat, and only a billing owner can add one.
Travel, breaks and public holidays on a building job
Travel between sites. Travel the work requires during the day, such as driving from one site to the next, generally counts as work time and is paid at least the minimum wage. Log it as its own project and it is counted, not lost. Our article on travel time covers the commute, overnight jobs and the cases.
Breaks. A work period of more than 6 hours and up to 8 comes with two paid 10-minute rest breaks and a 30-minute meal break (Employment Relations Act 2000, section 69ZD). Each entry records the break taken, which Employment New Zealand calls good practice.
Public holidays. A pour or a deadline sometimes lands on one. The hours are on the record by day, which is what payroll needs for time and a half and an alternative holiday.
What it does on a building job, and what it does not
You get
- Hours by person, job and task, for any period
- Who has not logged this week
- Budgets in hours, highlighted past 80%
- Every change after a week is sent, dated
- A CSV ready for your payroll, and a team PDF
It does not
- Track location, GPS or geofence a site
- Run a clock-in kiosk or a site sign-in register
- Quote, cost or invoice your jobs
- Roster your crew or approve timesheets
- Run payroll or keep leave balances
Use it beside your job management system and your payroll. It keeps the hours part of the record, and leaves the rest to them.
Questions
Can my crew log hours without signal?
Yes. Installed on the phone's home screen, the app works with no signal and syncs when it finds one. Nothing records where anyone is.
Can I see which site someone was on?
You see the job and task they logged the hours against. There is no GPS and no location tracking, so the job they chose is the record, and every change after a week is sent shows with its date.
Does an apprentice need their own seat?
Yes. Every person whose hours you see takes a seat, and so does every manager who sees the Team page. A team is at least 3 seats.
What does a crew of eight cost?
Eight seats are $55.92 a month, or $479.04 a year, GST included. From 50 seats, each seat is 10% less.
Your crew's hours, by job, this week
Buy at least 3 seats, add your jobs as projects, and invite your crew by email from the Team page. Each person chooses whether to share their hours with you.
